La Crosse council approves bonding for S&S Cycle expansion
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — S&S Cycle will be growing its operations in the La Crosse area thanks, in part, to the city of La Crosse.
Thursday night, the city council approved financing a portion of the $8.1 million expansion project for the motorcycle parts manufacturer using what’s called industrial development revenue bonds.
The bonds’ tax exempt status means the company would receive lower interest rates and a longer payback period.
The company will also be using state and county loans to help fund the project.
Over a three year period, S&S is expected to create 38 new jobs in La Crosse as well as 57 positions in Viola.
