La Crosse Community Thanksgiving Dinner to be served Thursday

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The La Crosse Community Thanksgiving Dinner is preparing to return.

Volunteers were busy at the La Crosse Center Wednesday preparing victuals for the meal.

Hundreds of meals will be served in-person, carry out and by delivery.

Organizers say they are ready to welcome everyone in the community back to the table.

“It’s not just for the homeless, it’s not just for those that might be out of work temporarily. And we want everyone to know that,” said Ruth McQuiston-Keil, who chairs the dinner planning committee.

Doors open will open at 10 a.m. Thursday at the La Crosse Center, with dinners being available at 11 a.m.. The dinner will be served until 3 p.m.

Because of COVID-19, everyone is asked to bring a mask.

More about the meal is available here.
