La Crosse Co. Medical Examiner warns of potent batch of drugs
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – According to La Crosse County Medical Examiner Tim Candahl, two people have died from drug overdoses in the past three days.
Candahl says both those overdose deaths involved fentanyl mixed into cocaine, something he said he doesn’t see very often in the La Crosse area.
Both individuals who died were in their 30s.
Candahl says those with loved ones struggling with addiction should take steps to prevent overdose, including having Narcan, an opioid reversal drug, available in case of an emergency.
