La Crosse City Hall closing due to COVID-19 concerns

WI Dept. of Justice now has complaint against La Crosse Co.’s administrator

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – La Crosse City Hall will close to the public beginning Friday, June 19, 2020.

According to a news release from the La Crosse Parks and Recreation Department, the decision to close the facility is due to the increase in positive COVID-19 cases and the shift in the Coulee Compass to ‘severe’. The closure will be monitored on a weekly basis, but currently is in place indefinitely.

Community members are asked to use the dropbox or schedule appointments with specific staff to meet outside the building.

Municipal Court will remain on schedule, with attendees asked to utilize the north entry door. Portable bathrooms and handwashing stations will be located outside for those attending court, according to the release.
