La Crosse city council approves funding for Memorial Pool plans
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Renovations at La Crosse’s Memorial Pool are one step closer to becoming a reality.
The city’s Common Council approved a resolution Thursday night to spend $250,000 dollars for schematic designs focusing on the current Memorial Pool location.
There was a motion for an amendment to also have plans drawn up for a previously proposed facility at Forest Hills, but that failed by an 11-to-2 margin.
The council will have a better idea of what the entire Memorial Pool project could cost in a couple of months once the schematic drawings are complete.
