La Crosse business wants to help you recycle your plastics
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — If you want to recycle your plastics, but worry about the effectiveness of those green bins, there will soon be another option in La Crosse.
Full Circle Supply is currently fundraising for a plastic recycling system called Precious Plastics. A shredder breaks your recyclables down into flakes which are then used by the Full Circle Supply staff to mold new products, ranging from bowls to phone covers.
“We hope to start building one of the machines as soon as possible. We already do have funding to complete at least one of the machines, a shredder, for sure. We hope to have that up and running by spring,” said Full Circle Supply Co-Owner Joshua Larson.
The business hopes to include a 3D printer in the future as well, expanding what could be made from those recyclables. Full Circle Supply will accept Types 1 and 2 plastics.
If you would like to help out with the fundraising you can donate at the Full Circle Supply’s donation website.
