La Crosse begins preparing for Community Thanksgiving Dinner
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Communities across the country will enjoy their Thanksgiving dinners together this month, and La Crosse is preparing for its own.
The 37th annual La Crosse Community Thanksgiving Dinner is being called the ‘Festival of Sharing.’ It’s a meal meant for everyone, not only those struggling or alone this holiday.
“Sometimes negative things happen even in great communities, and this is a positive thing every year that we like to put on, get our neighbors together and share a meal so that nobody has to be alone,” said La Crosse Community Thanksgiving Dinner Board of Directors President Daria Lapp.
The Community Thanksgiving Dinner includes things for every member of your family, including live music, the holiday football games, a family craft area and therapy dogs! Volunteers will also deliver Thanksgiving meals to those unable to make it to the La Crosse Center.
Anyone who would like to sign up for a meal, to volunteer, or to donate can do so by going to the LCTD website.
