La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce announces campaign to attract talent

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday announced a community-wide talent attraction campaign, aimed at attracting more top-quality employees to relocate, live and work in our community.

The chamber of commerce has invested $19,000 in the project, which is a collaboration with other local organizations, including La Crosse County, La Crosse Area Development Corporation and Explore La Crosse. This campaign includes the completion of a community toolkit to assist area employers in their efforts to attract talent to Greater La Crosse. The toolkit will include a logo, branding statement, landing page, photos, videos, digital ads, and targeted advertising in key hubs of regional talent, such as Madison, Milwaukee, and the Twin Cities.

“Talent Attraction for the immediate area has been a need for many years. Employers have made it known that attracting and retaining talent in the area has been a major obstacle,” said Neal Zygarlicke, CEO of the La Crosse Area Chamber. “The Chamber is excited to lead this initiative for the business community, but we also look forward to further collaboration with and support from area employers, economic development organizations, La Crosse County, and the City of La Crosse and its new Mayor.”

The La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce will move into phase two of the project later this spring. Phase 2 will include demos with business stakeholders and HR professionals, investment opportunities for employers, and the public launch of the Talent Attraction Campaign.
