La Crosse Area Builders Association offers Build a House Contest for Kids

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The La Crosse Area Builders Association (LABA) has created two contests to keep children entertained during COVID-19 pandemic isolation.

The LABA “Build A House Contest for Kids” is directed toward children ages 5 to 11. Kids are encouraged to use any materials, such as building blocks, popsicle sticks, cards, etc. to build a house, take a photo of the creation and send it in to be judged by LABA’s team of experts. Submissions are due by Monday, April 20 at 8 a.m. Winners will receive a $25 gift card.

For older children, ages 12 to 18, LABA is offering a Build a Rube Goldberg Machine. The machine must have at least 10 different obstacles and submissions are due by Monday, April 27 at 8 a.m. Winners also receive a $25 gift card.
