La Crescent dancers draw a big crowd for ‘Thriller’ performance
LA CRESCENT, Minn. (WKBT) — It was Thriller night Sunday evening for a group of La Crescent dancers.
Community members of all experience levels and backgrounds got the chance to dress up as zombies while dancing to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ for a downtown crowd.
After weeks of practice, the community got the chance to enjoy their performance this evening.
According to organizer Meagan Waddell, the Thriller dance is all about having fun and sharing a love of art.
“The arts and the positivity that it brings, and how it uplifts people and encourages children, especially– you know, our future, to just be bold and daring and to do this with me,” Waddell said.
This was the fourth year of performing, and Waddell says the performers’ energy was contagious.
42 dancing zombies performed, and Waddell says this year’s crowd was the biggest one yet.
