Kwik Trip sets goal to hire at least 2,000 — pronto
Hiring blitz aims to meet demand for services, company says
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Kwik Trip is on the hunt to hire at least 2,000 co-workers, officials at the La Crosse-based convenience store chain say.
Although COVID-19 forced postponement of the Kwik Trip’s open interview day at every store, it didn’t postpone hiring, said recruiting manager Stephanie Cormican.
“We are looking to hire at least 2,000 co-workers as quickly as we can to help our stores, production facilities and distribution and transportation divisions keep up with the high demand for our products and services,” Cormican said.
“In addition to year-round and seasonal positions, we understand that individuals may have been displaced due to COVID-19 and are looking for work temporarily until they are able to return to their current employment. The increased volume we are experiencing right now provides an opportunity for those individuals to earn income during this time,” she said.
Openings are for full- and part-time jobs, with online job fairs available. The company has more than 600 Kwik Trip and Kwik Star stores in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
The well-being of co-workers and customers remains Kwik Trip’s top priority, Cormican said, adding, “The novel COVID-19 has affected many communities worldwide, and Kwik Trip intends to be a leading player in the cleanliness of their stores and work locations.”
Job applications and information about online job fairs are available on Kwik Trip’s website.
