Kleefisch Visits Western Technical College

Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin Rebecca Kleefisch was back in La Crosse Wednesday, visiting Western Technical College.

She visited the new Integrated Technology Center on campus, and had lunch at the student-run bistro.

Kleefisch says the improvements at Western give a glimpse to the future of the state’s economy, and will be key in keeping young people in-state once they finish school.

She says that’s because those young people can quickly earn a degree, and start working.

“We saw the best place to literally press fast forward on people’s careers were places like this, where sometimes you can go as fast as a boot camp, sometimes as fast as two years, directly into the workplace with a fantastic degree,” said Lt. Gov. Kleefisch.

While in La Cross,  Kleefisch also met with area bankers, and an economics professor at UW-La Crosse to talk about the future of the state’s economy
