Kleefisch stops in West Salem as governor candidate returns to campaign trail

The republican candidate for Governor positive for COVID-19 earlier this month.

WEST SALEM, Wis. (WKBT) – Rebecca Kleefisch is back on the campaign trail.

The republican candidate for Governor positive for COVID-19 earlier this month.

According to her staff, Kleefisch finished quarantine and tested negative for the virus.

She stopped in West Salem Monday to tour Sensible Health Care to talk about the importance of preventative care.

“I think we need to focus on health and wellness and less on sick care, which basically means we’ve missed an opportunity to do good health care and good wellness visits,” said Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate.

In June, Governor Tony Evers has announced he is running for re-election.
