Kind proposes new national healthcare bill in La Crosse
Bill looks to stabilize ACA
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A new national healthcare plan is being proposed in La Crosse.
Representative Ron Kind stopped in the city to reveal his bill to address health insurance concerns.
The plan seeks to stabilize premiums in the individual insurance market while reducing copays and deductibles for low- income Americans. It also plans to create more affordable options while improving the insurance industry.
Kind hopes the plan brings both parties together to improve on national healthcare.
“I hope the President recognizes that, with the failure of his preferred bill moving forward, there’s another plan, a plan B, to try to fix what isn’t working in the system and we start coming together to do that in a bipartisan fashion,” said Representative Kind.
The individual mandate of the Affordable Care Act would also remain in place, saying costs would be lower for everyone with the requirement in place.
