Keeping focus on exercise you enjoy make help successful resolutions

Making sure your new year’s fitness resolution can work for you all year may be a matter of doing things you enjoy.

Doctors say doing exercises you don’t enjoy makes it less likely that people will actually do the exercise.

While your resolution can be a focus for a whole year, you need to start small to be successful.

“Start small in little increments, maybe 10 to 15 minutes a day of something that you actually enjoy rather than jumping into something that you really don’t think will be pleasant to do,” said Andrew Severn, Physical Therapist with Mayo Clinic Health System.

The National Institutes of Health says getting fit is one of the most common resolutions each year.
