Jury finds man accused of rape, false imprisonment not guilty

Christopher John denied allegations throughout case

A man accused of raping a 15-year-old girl last summer has been acquitted of all charges.

Christopher John, 40, was arrested and charged with rape and false imprisonment after the teen said he raped her in his tent during a camping trip in June. John consistently denied all of the allegations, and late Friday night the jury came back, saying John was not guilty on all counts.

According to the La Crosse Tribune, the public defender says the teen changed her story of how she was duct taped and what John said to her before the assault.

It has been 7 months since the initial arrest.
