Johnson and Evers hold slim leads in latest Marquette Law School Poll

MILWAUKEE (WKBT) — The races for Wisconsin governor and U.S. Senate have become very close, according to a newly released Marquette Law School Poll.

In the most significant change, incumbent Republican Senator Ron Johnson now leads Democratic challenger Mandela Barnes with 49% support from likely voters versus Barnes’ 48%. In the previously released poll, Barnes led Johnson by seven percentage points.

In the race for governor, results also showed a tightening race. Republican Tim Michels held firm at 44% support among likely voters, the same number as a previous Marquette poll. Evers’ support dipped slightly, coming in at 47%. Independent candidate Joan Berlinger polled at 5%, with 3% undecided.
