Job Fair provides opportunities for job seekers

Job seekers in our area met with potential employers Thursday in Onalaska.

The Omni Center is hosting the Coulee Region Job Fair.

More than 200 job seekers and 60 businesses are expected to be in attendance.

For organizer, the day provides a chance for job seekers to find job possibilities they hadn’t considered.

“It gives them the opportunity to meet face to face and really see a glimpse of what an employer might be getting and likewise on the other side, the job seeker gets a pretty good idea of whether or not he or she would like to work at the place they’re talking to,” said Julie Mitchell, Executive Director, Western Wisconsin Workforce Development Board.

This is the second year of the fair.
