Job fair helps Western students, community members find opportunities

22 employers took part in the fair

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Students and alumni from Western Technical College are getting the chance to learn about career opportunities.

A Construction and Apprenticeship Career Fair was hosted on campus in La Crosse Thursday afternoon.

22 employers from La Crosse and around the region were on hand for the fair.

The day gives those in attendance the chance to get a face to face meeting.

That can help job seekers understand what opportunities can help them.

“You can find out jobs that would be something that you could eligible for now, but you could also find out about things that you might need some additional training for,” said Barb Kelsy, Western Technical College director of advising and career services.

Western will host another career fair next month.
