Jeremiah Vangen taking Alma Center Lincoln football coaching job

Coached Black River Falls last 3 seasons

Black River Falls’ head football coach Jeremiah Vangen is moving to the 8-man game this coming season.

Vangen confirmed to News 8 Now Sports that he will be the next head coach at Alma Center Lincoln.

He says talking with Lincoln administrators and AD Jeremy Hanson made the place feel like home.

“Ultimately these sorts of decisions are based on what feels right and Lincoln feels right to me,” he texted News 8 Now Sports. “Super excited to meet the guys next week and get started.”

Vangen resigned from BRF back in March, at that time thanking all his Tiger players and families that he interacted with in his three seasons. In that span, with one season shortened by the pandemic, the Tigers went 8-17, including a 5-5 playoff season in 2019.

He’ll take over a Hornet program that is expected to have its new football field completed before Week 1 this August.
