It’s that time of year! Girl Scout cookie sales start Saturday
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Grab your checkbooks because it’s that time of year again.
Badgerland Girl Scouts are gearing up for another busy cookie season.
You may have noticed they’re starting a little later this year; normally they put out their booths in February.
But they waited until now, mostly because of the pandemic.
Scout leaders said Wednesday now that more people are getting vaccinated they feel safe letting the girls set up shop.
Through the cookie program girls learn leadership, money management, and people skills.
But this year they’re also learning how to be innovative!
“We still have girl scouts going door-to-door. It’s based on their comfort level, but the cool thing is they have an app to use so they can have a pretty contactless experience with that customer, ” said Sally Egan, Dir. of Entrepreneurial Experience.
Girl Scouts partnered up with food delivery service ‘Grubhub’ as well.
But don’t worry, they will also be setting up booths around town.

There’s a new cookie to try this year too; the french toast-inspired ‘Toast-YAY.’
