Isolated Showers Or Sprinkles Today, Tonight & Tuesday?
Isolated Thunder Also Possible
Monday’s Forecast High: 58F / Tonight’s Low: 51F…
Sunshine returned for the weekend, but it was rather cool Saturday with highs only in the mid-upper 40s. Sunday was warmer with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s, making for a really nice day!
Clouds will increase today, but temps will still be a bit above average for most… with highs in the mid-upper 50s. A weak disturbance and frontal boundaries could spark a few isolated light rain showers or sprinkles in spots.
That small chance for light rain showers or sprinkles will continue tonight. Otherwise, it will be mainly cloudy and mild with lows only dipping into the mid 40s to low 50s. We would normally see lows in the low-mid 30s this time of year.
Mostly cloudy, but warmer Tuesday. Just how warm we get depends on how much sunshine is seen at a given location. Either way, high temps will be well above average in the mid 60s to low 70s. There will still be a slight chance of showers, perhaps even a few t-storms in spots.
Looking Ahead… Another disturbance will bring a chance of rain showers Wednesday. It will also be breezy, with temps falling through the 50s. We will likely hit our high temp Wednesday in the morning.
Breezy and even cooler Thursday and Friday. Highs will fall into the mid-upper 40s in most locations. There looks to be a small chance of rain showers Thursday, then mainly dry Friday.
Forecast models are at odds on any precipitation chances for Saturday. Some keep us dry, while others show a chance of rain showers. For now, I’m going to keep us dry with slightly warmer highs in the low-mid 50s. Isolated rain showers are possible Sunday, with highs back in the upper 40s.
Another disturbance could bring some light rain showers Monday night into Tuesday, perhaps even mixing with snow showers Monday night/early Tuesday morning… with temps close to freezing. Temps will remain below average, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.
River Flood Warnings remain in effect until further notice along the Mississippi River. Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue for at least the next week. Forecast crests are rather changeable, so stay tuned for updates. Please use caution on or near the river, as high water levels mean more debris is in the water… and currents are extra strong.
Have a good Monday! -Bill Graul
