Iowa ends Wisconsin’s Big Ten Tournament run

Iowa men’s basketball defeated Wisconsin 62-57 Friday night to advance to its first Big Ten Tournament semifinal since 2006.

Wisconsin led by six at halftime but went cold halfway through the second half, unable to hit a shot for more than nine minutes. The Badgers also committed 14 turnovers to help Iowa come back.

The Hawkeyes dominated the paint, recording 10 blocks and hitting all but two shots from inside the arc. Luka Garza led Iowa with 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting.

D’Mitrik Trice led Wisconsin with 19 points, and Micah Potter added 17 off the bench.
