Infrastructure focused on during Ron Kind’s visit
Long term transportation plan to boost Wis. economy
WEST SALEM, Wis. (WKBT) — Wisconsin congressman Ron Kind stopped in West Salem Wednesday.
He was with U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx meeting with area workers about transportation issues.
Their conversation focused on creating jobs and improving public safety by putting money into our roads and bridges. It’s part Kind’s long term transportation plan to boost Wisconsin’s economy.
“We need good roads, highways, bridges, airports, ports, to grow the economy. We know we have to do it., lets to it now, when we need the good paying jobs and that too is something Secretary Foxx is very focused on and trying to find a path forward,” said Kind.
Secretary Foxx is in charge of a $70 billion transportation budget and is a strong supporter of Kind’s longer term transportation plan.
