Improvements to La Crosse Center may begin sooner
La Crosse Center Board ready to submit request for proposal for design
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Changes to the La Crosse Center could be coming sooner than later.
The La Crosse Center Board is ready to submit the request for proposal for the design to the city council. This comes after months of research on how to stay competitive with other regional event centers.
The expansion would not only mean renovations to the building but also a re-branding campaign to attract more clients.
“It’s kind of task to stay relevant in a very competitive market, we’re supportive of our neighbors in Eau Claire and Oshkosh but at the same time we’re also competing with them so we want to make sure we can keep the business we’ve seen come to this area,” said La Crosse City Council District 5 Seat Katherine Svitavsky.
The board hopes to start the renovation process by the end of the year.
