Wisconsin Man Wanted In Connection With Multi County Theft String

CLINTONVILLE, Wis. — A Wisconsin man is wanted in connection to multiple alleged thefts that police said occurred across multiple counties.

Seth Genereau, 23, was identified as a suspect in multiple theft cases in Waupaca County last Tuesday. Officers in Outagamie County tried to question Generau, but he allegedly ran away. He then allegedly stole multiple items and a vehicle from Hortonville. Police said he later approached a person in Clintonville and allegedly stole a minivan by force.

Last Thursday, deputies in Iron County said they found Genereau driving the minivan near the Wisconsin/Michigan state line. He allegedly refused to stop and drove into Bayfield County, where he allegedly abandoned the minivan and stole a pickup truck. Deputies said that the truck became stuck in the road, and Genereau ran into the woods.

He was last seen on Friday in Washburn near Friendly Valley Road, wearing a flannel shirt, blue jeans and carrying a red cloth sack. He is white, about six feet tall, with brown hair and brown eyes.

A warrant was issued for his arrest stemming from the alleged robbery in Clintonville. Anyone with knowledge of Generau’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office (715) 373-6120 or the Clintonville Police Department (715) 823-3117.
