Norm Macdonald dies of cancer at age 61
Comedian and actor Norm Macdonald has died after a quiet years-long battle with cancer, according to multiple media reports.
TMZ was among the first outlets to report Macdonald’s death. The comedian, best known for his run on Saturday Night Live from 1993 to 1998, died Tuesday after a nine-year battle with cancer that he kept private from the public.
Macdonald appeared in countless TV shows and movies, often with his fellow SNL alums, including “Billy Madison” with Adam Sandler and “The Animal” with Rob Schneider. He also starred in his own TV series, “Norm,” from 1999 to 2001.
Macdonald is survived by his son.
