Hunger Task Force gets big donation
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The Hunger Task Force of La Crosse is getting a big hand from another organization in the area.
American Family Insurance presented a check for 3-thousand dollars to the Hunger Task Force this afternoon.
The donation is a part of the insurance company’s ‘Dreams Foundation’ which is giving out 90 donations across the country this year to celebrate its 90th anniversary.
Members of the local American Family Insurance office say they’re happy they could make a big impact in our area.
“It’s not just giving dollars and cents, you’re actually seeing the products and who’s receiving it, how many counties it’s going to go to, how many different organizations are going to be able to benefit from a donation,” said Tim Best from American Family Insurance.
The Hunger Task Force was nominated for the donation by a member of the community.
There were more than 17,000 nominations for donations and only 90 selected.
