Hundreds compete in YMCA’s 13th Annual Frostbite Invite
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Hundreds of swimmers had the chance to dive into some competition this weekend.
The La Crosse YMCA played host to the 13th annual Frostbite Invite.
The meet consists of seven different teams from across the state and is one of the biggest events of the year with over 300 swimmers competing from ages 4 to 19.
Swimmers participated in single events as well as team relays.
One WAVE Swim Team Coach said swimming is not just a sport but a great way to get the swim team families together.
“If you have a four year old and you have 18 and 19 year olds throughout the day and it’s just great to get everybody together along with their families and people who have been connected to swimming.”
The La Crosse YMCA WAVE Swim Team is a year round team that competes at the local and national level.
