Hundreds attended La Crosse Bridal Expo Sunday

Now that the holidays are over, people are looking toward the year ahead and that includes wedding season

Hundreds of people looking to tie the knot this year took part in the 13 annual La Crosse Bridal Expo Sunday afternoon at the La Crosse Center.

The event featured over 50 exhibitors.

January through March is usually the busy season so one organizer said it’s a good idea to get a head start on planning and this one-stop-shop is the way to do it.

“A bride could come in and get everything from picking out her dress, her mother’s dress, tuxedos, florists, caters, cupcakes everything you can imagine,” said Debra Lash, owner of Wedding Tree.

“I think it’s very beneficial because I can see what’s out there, plus there are samples and you can see things in person in one spot instead of trying to travel all over to different things and try to find the time to do that,” said Kelsey Mitchell who is getting married in June.

About 1,500 couples attended the event.
