Humane Society hosting annual ‘Pawz Academy Minicamp’ for kids
Students will learn about animals, humane society
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — Animal rescue, pet ownership, and shelter life are the focus of an animal-based camp for kids this summer.
The Coulee Region Humane Society is hosting their annual ‘Pawz Academy Minicamp’ in about a week and a half. Kids will learn about any animals that may come through the Humane Society through daily themes and activities.
Organizers hope camp-goers will better understand how to care for the animals in their lives.
“We want them to share that information too, with their friends at school and their families, and we just want people to have an interest in animal welfare and support that whole community,” said Coulee Region Humane Society Community Outreach Coordinator Samantha Luhmann.
Any kids between 8- and 13-years-old can take part in the ‘Pawz Academy Minicamp.’ Camps run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., from June 19 through the 23rd. Kids can register for all five classes or individual days.
