Houston County’s International Festival of Owls underway with a modified schedule
World Owl Hall of Fame and Kids Art Contest gallery are available online
HOUSTON, Minn. (WKBT) – Owl fans are keeping an area festival flying high.
The International Festival of Owls is underway in Houston and online.
A modified schedules is in place for the three day festival, which has bird fans flying in from around the globe.
There are limited opportunities to visit the International Owl Center in Houston.
While this year’s schedule is different than in years past, Owl Center staff are still happy so many people give a hoot.
“We still have our parade of owls art tour that is always available. Twelve public owls sculptures in public places for people to see. Really fun stuff like chain saw carving, one is a bench that you can sit on,” said International Owl Center executive director Karla Bloom.
A World Owl Hall of Fame speaker and a Kids Art Contest gallery are available online.
