Houston County reports three out of control fires, cancels all burn permits
CALEDONIA, Minn. (WKBT) — Houston County had three out-of-control fires Monday afternoon, including one on Malay Road in Caledonia.
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office reported the fires Monday on its Facebook page.
Due to the dry weather conditions, the Minnesota DNR is temporarily canceling all burn permits in the county.
Weather conditions have also led to burn bans in much of Wisconsin.
Gov. Tony Evers on Monday declared a public emergency due to the wildfire risk in the state.
