Hot shooting propels UW-La Crosse to win over UW-River Falls
Despite trailing at halftime, hot shooting helped lead UW-La Crosse men’s basketball to an 80-72 win over UW-River Falls for the team’s first WIAC win of the season.
The Eagles shot nearly 50 percent as a team but could not shake the Falcons until less than two minutes to play in the second half. Luke Norcia hit a key three-pointer late to put the Eagles up four, and the team made free throws the rest of the way to close out the game.
Wyatt Cook led UW-L with 21 points on 8-12 shooting. Seth Anderson and Terek Nesheim each added 13.
