HorseSense summer sessions in need of volunteers
Volunteer with therapeutic horseback riding
COON VALLEY, Wisc. (WKBT) — A Summer Session of therapeutic horseback riding is in need of volunteers.
HorseSense for Special Riders, Inc. is an organization in Coon Valley dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with special needs through horses.
Volunteers work directly with the instructors to provide assistance prior to and during lessons. Responsibilities include participating in the lesson by leading the horse or side walking.
Summer Sessions of horseback riding started in the beginning of June and go through August.
“There’s been a huge increase in interest in riding which is great. We help riders as young as 4 years old and as old as they’re able to ride,” says HorseSense Executive Director, Samantha Hall. “So we need volunteers in order to make our sessions and our lessons possible.”
