Homes for Heroes program expands into La Crosse area
Program offers home savings to local heroes
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Homes for Heroes, a program that offers financial help for military personnel, local first responders, and other local heroes has expanded to the La Crosse area.
The program’s aim is to help close the gap between the costs of housing for health care workers (active or retired), military personnel, police officers, firefighters, teachers, first responders, and others who serve our communities and nation.
Homes for Heroes works with realtors, mortgage lenders, title companies, attorneys and other service providers to give ppropriate rebates and discounts to the heroes who serve every day. The program has over 1200 affiliates in 48 states and have saved Heroes more than $6 million in buying, selling and /or refinancing a home, as their way of saying, “Thank You!”
The newest market affiliate, John G. List, of Coldwell Banker River Valley Realtors, Chris R. Popp of Imagine Home Lending, Chuck and Ryan Olson of Coldwell Banker River Valley, Realtors & River Valley Title Group and Dawn Faherty of New Castle Title are the new partners in The Greater La Crosse Area Homes for Heroes program.
With the help of the program one soon to be La Crosse family who is planning to move to the area won’t have to worry about finding a home.
“We were looking to buy a home, and we luckily found a wonderful home here in La Crosse in the Wygat Park neighborhood and we just recently closed just today,” said Doctor Benjamin Parsons.
