Holocaust survivor Eva Schloss speaks at Viterbo Fine Arts Center
Speech to be broadcast in October
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A childhood friend of Ann Frank is visiting La Crosse Monday night to tell her story of the Holocaust.
Eva Schloss returned to Viterbo’s Fine Arts Center. Prints of paintings by some of Schloss’ family members as they hid from the Nazis were also on display.
Schloss says the Holocaust is an important event the world should never forget.
“And this is why, not just me, but many survivors started to write books and started to tell the story so not only that it would not be forgotten, but also that we learn from it,” said Schloss.
If you did not make Monday night’s speech, you can watch a broadcast of the event at 11:05 p.m. October 8, on WKBT.
