Holmen man will spend 8 years behind bars for meth, gun convictions

HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT) – A federal judge sentenced a Holmen man to 8 years in prison for meth and gun convictions Wednesday.

La Crosse Police arrested 35-year-old Benjamin Devine in August of 2021. In executing a search warrant, police found nearly 400 grams of methamphetamine and over $5000 in cash in Devine’s vehicle. A search of his residence in Holmen and a storage locker turned up a hand gun, boxes of ammunition and more methamphetamine, according to the DOJ.

At the time, Devine was already under state supervision for convictions of meth trafficking and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
