Holmen expects thousands for annual Kornfest
Festivities include music, parade, plenty of corn
HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT) — Thousands of people are expected to chow on some corn in Holmen this weekend at Kornfest, which started Friday.
The 51st installment of the festival includes music, a carnival, a big parade, and of course plenty of corn.
“We’ve ordered 1,700 dozen this year, and we’re hoping to sell 4,000 chicken dinners,” said Holmen American Legion Commander Bryan Taylor.
The money raised helps dozens of local groups, many of which are volunteering time to make Kornfest possible.
They’ll start roasting the corn and chickens Saturday by 11 a.m.
