Holmen Area Foundation recognizes positive impact of community members

Foundation give Ruth Scholze Servant Leadership Award

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A Holmen organization is honoring people and organizations that help make our area a great place to live.

The Holmen Area Foundation hosted its 15th annual community breakfast Thursday morning.

Ruth Scholze received the Servant Leadership Award. The Holmen native says she gives back because she loves the community.

“I think it’s just being active and being involved, because that’s who I am,” Scholze said. “I can’t sit still. I need to be out and about. Be with people. Make a difference in the world.

The foundation has named a Servant Leadership award winner since 2010.
