Holiday Train makes stop in La Crosse, heading to other area communities
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is visiting 13 Wisconsin Communities this year, and on Wednesday it made a grand entrance at the Amtrak Station in La Crosse.
The train, also known as “North America’s longest rolling food bank” transforms an ordinary cargo car into a stage overflowing with holiday spirit. This year, guests were treated to dazzling holiday light shows, free live music, and of course a meet and greet with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
People were also encouraged to bring along a donation of food to benefit our local food pantry, The Hunger Task Force.
Since the train does run a tight schedule, it was only in La Crosse from 8:45 pm to 9:30 pm.
