Hillsboro man arrested after foot chase

VIROQUA, Wis. (WKBT) — Authorities in Vernon County arrested a rural Hillsboro man Sunday after a foot chase through a corn field.

Vernon County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Viroqua Police Department officers located Brandon R. Sebranek, 26, at about 2:18 p.m. Sunday and attempted to arrest him on multiple felony warrants. According to a press release, Sebranek took off on foot in the city of Viroqua and ran into a corn field off of Hwy. NN.

Officers located him about an hour later and transported him to the Vernon County Detention Center.

The Westby Police Department and Department of Natural Resources also assisted at the scene.
