Highway 16 construction to begin Monday morning
Project scheduled to finish late November
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — A major highway construction project in our area is set to begin Monday morning.
The Highway 16 reconstruction project between Onalaska and West Salem will reconstruct three miles into four-lanes, including the addition of turn lanes and intersection upgrades.
The majority of the highway will remain open during construction, but traffic will be limited to a single lane in each direction at times. However, from approximately May to July Highway 16 at Pierce Road & Moose Road will be closed with detour signs posted.
Construction is scheduled to be completed in late November.
