High school students attend ‘Scrubs Camp’ at Winona Health
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) — About 100 high schoolers attended “Scrubs Camp” at Winona Health Thursday morning.
Winona State University and Health-Force Minnesota organized the event. Students got to take part in a number of hands-on activities introducing them to possible careers in the medical field.
It also helps kids already thinking about that career path focus on their goals.
“I really want to be a psychiatrist and I think going to Scrubs Camp really helped me figure out how I’m going to get there because I was able to talk to an actual professional in the psychology field,” said Scrubs Camp student Sarah Momsen.
Scrubs Camp started at Winona State in the summer of 2008.Since then, it’s expanded to include nine other locations across Minnesota.
