High school music students join Screaming Eagles Marching Band

More than 300 students play in UWL Saturday night home game performances

High school marching band students had a chance to play with the UWL Screaming Eagles Saturday.

Seven area schools sent more than 300 students to UWL to march with the Screaming Eagles for UWL’s home opener Saturday night.

The bands started practicing for about an hour in a half in preparation for the six o’clock game.

“They seem to enjoy it. Hopefully not too much shell shock, but I know that our students just really love this event and they love to embrace the high school students,” said Screaming Eagles Marching Band Director Tammy Fischer.

The pregame performance began at 5:40 Saturday evening and the halftime show was at about 7 that night.
