Heavy smoke, water damage after Winona house fire
WINONA, Wis. (WKBT) — Emergency crews responded to a house fire on the 500 block of E 12th Street in Winona around 7:30 p.m. Saturday night.
Winona Fire Department Captain Joe Corcoran said it appears the fire started on the front porch of the home.
The homeowners were the ones who noticed the fire and called 9-1-1. They were able to make it out of the home safely.
Corcoran said the home has heavy smoke, water and fire damage.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
