Halloween Spooktacular offers indoor trick-or-treating for kids

Valley View Mall and Gundersen host annual event

Valley View Mall started their Halloween celebrations on Sunday with their annual Halloween Spooktacular.

The children’s event is a partnership between Gundersen Health System and the Valley View Mall to help educate kids on healthy choices with fun activities. The event offered trick-or-treating, a photo station, live entertainment and more.

Organizers say it’s a great location for kids to safely trick-or-treat.

“It’s just a great day to have the mall as a venue for people to come to. It’s traffic free, it’s climate controlled, it’s a safe and friendly environment. It’s just the perfect fit for an event like this,” said Valley View Mall Marketing Director Laurie Cafe.

About 1,500 people showed up to the mall for the annual event.
