Halloween Soup-A-Thon raises money for Children’s Miracle Network

Annual event from LHI, Kaplan, SAP hopes to raise more than $18,000

Some costumed employees in La Crosse enjoyed a nice hot bowl of soup on the cold day.

LHI, Kaplan, and SAP put on their annual Soup-A-Thon Friday, a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network. Employees paid to sample ghoulishly named soups from 18 local restaurants. They also judged them on a number of categories.

This year they’re hoping to raise over $18,000, which would help them pass a fundraising milestone.

“Over the 12 years we’ve been able to raise over $90,000, so this year we’re hoping to surpass that and that $100,000 mark,” said LHI Events Coordinator Thomas Foaster.

A check is usually presented to the Children’s Miracle Network in December.
