Hagedorn campaigns for Wisconsin Supreme Court
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A candidate for Wisconsin Supreme Court is campaigning in our area.
Brian Hagedorn made stops Monday in Sparta and La Crosse.
Hagedorn has served on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals since 2015.
He is backed by two current and three former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justices.
Hagedorn says the role of judge is clear.
“We should be applying the law, when we do our job of judging and upholding the constitution as written, not rewriting it in our own image but being faithful to say what it actually says as well as actually protecting the public,” said Judge Brian Hagedorn, candidate for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Both Hagedorn and his opponent Lisa Neubauer are hoping to replace Justice Shirley Abrahamson, who is not seeking re-election.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court election is on April 2nd.
