Habitat for Humanity looks for family partnership
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Habitat for Humanity is looking to partner with an individual or family to build a new single-family home next year.
The qualified applicant will help build the home on the south side of La Crosse. The home will be built out of donated material and services. When complete, you’ll buy the home from Habitat for Humanity through a zero percent interest mortgage.
Some of the selection process is based on need of housing and willingness to do your part.
“We’re not just giving away homes, we’re helping people become homeowners by giving them a hand up not a hand out, so willingness to partner is a really big factor,” said Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Amanda Acklin.
Applications are being accepted until Saturday November 7th. For more information head to www.habitatlacrosse.org
